Create a Quality Animated Film
Animated Film
The
animation
industry is continuously evolving and creating easier and better ways
to animate the film. Below are the steps to create a quality animated
film.
7 Steps to Create a Quality Animated Film
1.
Choose a Focus For Story
The
important part of an animation is the story itself. Brainstorm your
characters
and develop a plot for the story. Sometimes it's easier to focus on
the main character and revolve everything around them. Who would be
this character's friends/enemies? Who would be their parents? What is
their everyday attitude? What are their goals in life? Try to add a
theme to the character's life. Will this be a tragedy or comedy?
2.
Create a Storyboard
Draw
a sketch of what will take place in the movie. This can be easy and
simple sketches since it won't be in the final movie and might even
be cut or replaced. Think of these as each page of a book. Don't draw
all the detail but show the point of each part.

3.
Write a Script
Make
sure to include everything in the script.
A
script consists of 3 main elements:
1.
Location
At
the beginning of every scene, must declare the location.
2.
Action
It
is the place to describe the action that leads or follows the
dialogue. It is written without intention at the body of the script.
3.
Dialogue
Indented
to the center of the page, the name of the character would be written
with capital letters and lines of dialogue would be under it,
indented as well. Dialogue direction should be in parentheses and
placed before the aspired line.

4.
Write Character
Profiles
to Develop
the Actors
of your Animated
film further
Include
lots of details. You can include traits about character. Is your
character the entertainer of the movie or something else?
5.
Animated Film
It
would help if you decided what animation technique you will use at
this point. Flipbooks
are funny and cheap but have some downsides. Traditional animation
has excellent quality but takes a long time is not very efficient and
is quite costly. You always use animation
software
as well.
6.
Edit your
Film
Editing
a film
is the process of manipulating and rearranging shots to create a
seamless final product, and at this stage that any unwanted footage
and scenes are removed. Editing is an important step in making sure
the film flows in a way which achieves the initial goal. Other tasks
also include titling and adding any effects to the final text and
video.
7.
Sound Editing
Sound
editing is responsible for assembling the sound recordings in
preparation for the final sound, assuring lip sync and adding all of
the sound effects required for the final film.
